The Guess How Many

Casey Dorrell

I bought a Guess Who Greatest Hits at a Cash Converters a few years ago. I like some of their songs, but nothing enough to really want any of their actual CDs. Since then, I keep noticing Guess Who Best Ofs where I work and everywhere else. My guess was that they had five or six of them (even more than Aerosmith). I was wrong.

The Guess Who's Greatest
Somehow, I managed to get the one with the all-time worst cover.

Below is the list I've compiled:
1969 - The Guess Who Super Golden Goodies
1971 - The Best of the Guess Who
1972 - History of the Guess Who
1973 - The Best of the Guess Who (Reissue)
1973 - The Best of the Guess Who Volume 2
1977 - The Greatest of the Guess Who
1984 - Together Again
1985 - K-TEL Presents the Guess Who, 20 Original Hits
1986 - Best of the Guess Who Live
1988 - Track Record: The Guess Who Collection
1990 - The Best of the Guess Who (Reissue)
1990 - The Greatest of the Guess Who (Reissue)
1990 - American Woman, These Eyes & Other Hits
1991 - Track Record: The Guess Who Collection
1992 - These Eyes
1993 - The Guess Who At Their Best
1993 - The Best of The Guess Who, Vol. 2 (Reissue)
1997 - The Ultimate Collection
1998 - The Guess Who - The Spirit Lives On: Greatest Hits Live
1999 - The Guess Who - Greatest Hits
2003 - Platinum & Gold Collection
2003 - Anthology
2004 - Best Of
2005 - Let's Go: The CBC Years 2005
[date unknown] - Guess Who - 36 All-Time Greatest Hits

Yep, that's 25. I think they had about 7 studio albums . . .

Download:
Neil Young - Live @ Royal Festival Hall in 1971 (20 songs)
(Because unlike the Guess Who, this Canadian artist just released his first greatest hits last year)

LOL. I wonder if all the greatest hits has the same songs, too. It would suck to be a dedicated fan...

Not as much as it would suck to be a dedicated Pearl Jam fan. :)

Just a brief note that The Guess Who recorded almost 20 studio albums between 1965 - 1975.

Cheers !

Kick-butt rock from The Great White North.
